Lunch & Learn Details:

"spOILed" producer, Mark Mathis, has graciously offered to speak at DADOA's Lunch & Learn on Monday, December 5th.

This will be a great opportunity to meet Mark and learn about the film (we will see film clips, not the entire screening). We're hoping to impress him with a huge turnout to show our support!

There is no charge, but please RSVP to ensure you will have a seat because space is somewhat limited. This event is open to non-members, too, so feel free to invite your friends and co-workers.

You're welcome to bring your lunch (keeping in mind we may not have room for tables).

Certification credits will be issued from NADOA & NALTA to those who attend the Lunch and Learn and the film.

For more information about this event, please contact Cori Peth at or Sandi Rupprecht at

Letter from Mark Mathis:

America is addicted to oil, President Bush said so... and now that phrase is echoed everywhere. But are we really "addicted"?

Oil is literally the lifeblood of the modern world. To be sure, it's something to worry about. Will we have enough in the years ahead? What happens if there is a sudden disruption? How can we reduce our reliance on oil?

When it comes to what we're told about oil, there's rhetoric and then there's reality. Who can we believe? The media? Politicians? Environmental activists? You'd be surprised.

For nearly 10 years, as a journalist turned media analyst, I've studies our use of oil. And what I found shocked me so thoroughly that I made a movie about the misinformation, distortions and even outright lies about petroleum.

We do have an "oil problem" in America (and the world), but it's not what you've been told. So, it's time to Fill Up on Truth... for a change.
